Practice Run is a powerful tool for helping students prepare for the math and science sections of the LEAP 21 and GEE 21 standardized tests. Designed and produced by the Space Science Group, Practice Run includes over 1300 multiple choice questions per grade level, instant feedback on all answers, performance and content standards, and a general test overview for each subject. Other program features include fast, easy installation, test-taking tips, and options that allow the student to customize his or her Practice Run experience. Questions in Practice Run are correlated to Grade Level Expectations. |

Science: Out of This World is available as two programs: Science: Out of This World, In the Classroom, and Science: Out of This World, Online. Science: Out of This World In the Classroom is a free program designed for middle school students (grades 5-8) that uses the study of space and technology, combined with fun experiments and activities, to motivate students to learn basic scientific methods and principles, as well as general study skills. Science: Out of This World Online is an extensive website designed to supplement middle school science courses with over 1300 pages of science content, 170 lab activities, streaming audio and video clips, and links to space and science resourses. |

With Mr. Wizard type science shows and hands-on lab activities, The Black Hole Science Laboratory is a one-of-a-kind learning facility that is available to Louisiana students, grades 5-8, for day-long field trips where students will experience the fun and wonder of learning science. Join Professor D. A. Bomm in discovering how fireworks are made, why LOVE is really chemistry and what compound reactions caused the Hindenburg disaster. Students will ponder the properties of various chemicals, explore elements from the Periodic Table and investigate physical and chemical reactions. The laboratory is also used to conduct workshops that provide teachers with the training and resources they need to improve the quality of science and mathematics instruction in the classroom. |
